Changing
Orders
Once
submitted orders may be changed during the order confirmation
process, to cancel an order the customer should reply to the
order confirmation Email canceling their order. They will receive
acknowledgement of the cancellation and a link back to the order
form where they can place another order if the wish. No changes
or cancellation will be accepted once payment is complete.
By
completing the payment process the customer acknowledges their order
details identified in the order confirmation Email to be correct.
Refund
Policy
Payments
are not refundable where the customer feels they misplaced their
order but continued to complete the payment process. The order process
gives the customer ample opportunity to make changes as required
before completing the payment process.
Prices listed on the DVD-Memories website apply to visual media supplied in good condition such that this material can be played and viewed without visual or audible errors. DVD-Memories reserve
the right to reject tapes, cine films, slides or nagatives considered to be unsuitable, for example
but not limited to, tapes not numbered, film footage poor quality
or tapes in poor condition, cine film brittle or damaged. Customers will be informed and requested
to advise on the course of action to be taken. In the event they
request the transfer process to continue this is at their own risk and where the customer requests remedial action to improve poor quality footage this will incure additional charge. If the customer requests visual media be returned without transfer
they will pay for return post and package by Royal Mail Special
delivery and will be given a refund minus an administration fee of £20.00.
Where the customer has paid less than £20.00 they will be requested to pay the difference to make up the £20.00 administration fee. In the event the customer refuses to pay iether the return post and package or administration fee incured due to sending sub standard visual media for transfer, the material will not be returned to them until payment is received, if a period of 6 months passes without payment being received the visual media in question will be disposed of.
Post
& Package
Prices don't include Post and Package which will be added during the order process dependant on the size of order to be posted.
DVD
Chapters
In
order to prevent a reduction in the quality of final DVD movie
footage, the number of chapters per DVD is restricted
to 10.
DVD
Media
DVD-R discs are used for film transfer or CDR discs for slide/negative transfer. CUSTOMERS SHOULD CHECK THEIR DVD PLAYER/DRIVE WILL PLAY DVD-R or CDR. IF REQUIRED DVD+R CAN BE USED FOR FILM TRANSFER AT ADDITIONAL COST. AN ENQUIRY HERE.
THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THIS BEFORE PLACING AN
ORDER. RUFUNDS OR REPLACEMENT GOODS WILL NOT BE GIVEN WHERE THE
DVD'S SUPPLIED WON'T PLAY ON A CUSTOMERS DVD PLAYER BECAUSE IT IS
IETHER UNSERVICEABLE OR WON'T PLAY DVD-R OR CDR DISCS.
Customer
Liability
Whilst
the utmost care is taken with customers tapes and cine film, there is always
a very small element of risk of damage being caused by
equipment during the transfer process. Editing equipment used is maintained
in excellent condition and working order. During the order
placement process the customer acknowledges acceptance of these
Terms & Conditions, in the unlikely event damage is caused to
tape or cine film during the transfer process this is at the customers own risk.
Damage
occurring to tapes whilst in the hands of the postal service should
be resolved by the customer with the postal service provider.
Damage to Cine Film
In the unlikely event that Cine film is damaged during the transfer process, DVD-Memories will repair the film using standard splicing techniques. Such unforseen damage could ocurr if the drive belt fails causing the film to stop during the transfer process or if due to age or method of storage the film has become brittle. During the order
placement process the customer acknowledges acceptance of these
Terms & Conditions, in the unlikely event damage is caused to
cine film during the transfer process this is at the customers own risk.
Where necessary leader tapes will be trimmed as required to eliminate the risk of damage to cine film during the threading process.
Customer
Responsibility
The
customer is responsible for the quality of the movie footage
they send for transfer to DVD, the final
movie quality on DVD will reflect as near as possible the original
though in some instances a small reduction in quality may occur.
The
customer is responsible for ensuring their tapes/films,
are suitable for the transfer process. They must be in good physical
condition and the movie footage good quality.
Other
Orders
will be completed ready for dispatch to the customer within
28 days of the tapes being received. On rare occasions due to
unforeseen circumstances this period may be longer.
Editing will commence after payments has cleared. |
